Angel's story. A three-legged angel waiting for a loving family

Angel's story. A three-legged angel waiting for a loving family
“ You are responsible for caring for the one you have tamed.”

May 2026.

A young dog appeared in Marneuli, a town in Georgia with an ethnic Azerbaijani population. She was a purebred Brittany Spaniel whose front leg was broken and had become necrotic. It turned out that she had an owner who treated her very badly and indifferently and had no intention of getting her any medical help.

Activists took her away, and at the end of May, Angel, as I named her, lost her front leg. Sadly, no one in Georgia wanted to take her in with her disability, and there was a risk that she would be returned to the streets.

A chance encounter at the clinic.

On June 4, I saw a three-legged dog at the vet clinic, felt a special emotional connection with her, and tried to find out everything I could about her. When I learned that no home had been found for her in Georgia and that she was going to be returned to the streets, I offered to take her under the care of our organisation,  Animal Rescue Georgia .

On September 25, I brought Angel home, where she got along wonderfully with the other animals, including the cats.

Despite having only three legs, she is quite active and can cover long distances.

She loves riding on public transport

She loves affection and meeting new people

When she can leave Georgia

Angel has had her rabies antibody test and can leave Georgia from January 17, 2027.

She is healthy, happy and sociable.

She would be equally at home in an apartment or a house.
